Post-poll allegations of violence have emerged in West Bengal's Murshidabad, Malda, and North 24 Parganas districts, as revealed by local police on Friday.
One significant incident involved a CPI(M) polling agent, Ruhul Amin, who was reportedly attacked in Murshidabad by an alleged group led by a TMC regional leader. Despite Amin's complaints, initial police action was reportedly lacking until the intervention of a CPI(M) candidate, claimed the party.
In another event in Malda, BJP's Mahananda Mondal was allegedly assaulted by suspected TMC workers, prompting a police investigation. Meanwhile, a clash between TMC and BJP workers in North 24 Parganas led to injuries and arrests, underscoring the continuing political friction in the aftermath of the elections.
