Elaborate Arrangements Ensure Smooth Puducherry Vote Counting

The stage is meticulously set for the counting of votes in Puducherry following the assembly elections held on April 9. Chief Electoral Officer P Jawahar has assured that elaborate preparations and strategic security measures are in place to ensure a seamless counting process on May 4 across Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.
Six fully equipped counting centres have been established throughout the Union Territory. In Puducherry, vote counting will take place at Women's Engineering College, Motilal Nehru Government Polytechnic, and Tagore Arts and Science College. Karaikal's count will occur at the P G Centre of Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, whereas Mahe and Yanam have set up centres at Jawaharlal Nehru Government Higher Secondary School and S R K Government Arts College, respectively.
A comprehensive infrastructure is backed by sufficient manpower, including 218 supervisors, 221 assistants, and 232 micro-observers, ensuring adherence to the Election Commission of India guidelines. Identity protocols are stringent, with only authorized personnel granted entry into counting halls to maintain order. Updates on counting trends will be continuously available via the ECINET App, guaranteeing transparency and accuracy throughout the entire process.
