Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch voiced his apprehension over the pattern of internal deliberation leaks at the U.S. Supreme Court. Speaking on a Sunday talk show, Gorsuch highlighted the balancing act between transparency and the essential need for confidential dialogue among the justices.
The justice noted that while live audio of court arguments enhances openness, confidential discussions remain crucial to reach consensus. His remarks come after a New York Times publication disclosed memos from a 2016 Supreme Court discussion regarding former President Obama's Clean Power Plan.
In addition to commenting on court leaks, Gorsuch promoted his new children's book, "Heroes of 1776: The Story of the Declaration of Independence," which coincides with the U.S. 250th independence anniversary celebrations. His remarks also followed a recent ruling on the Voting Rights Act, showcasing the court's rightward shift.
