The BJP is making significant headway in the West Bengal elections, leading in 109 seats against the incumbent TMC's 63, suggesting potential success in a traditionally elusive state.
Meanwhile, actor-politician Vijay's party has already stunned many with leads in 103 Tamil Nadu seats, positioning them ahead of the ruling DMK.
The counting results showed BJP maintaining a strong grip in Assam, with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the helm, while in Kerala, Congress has shown a lead over the CPI and CPM. Puducherry remains a tight contest.
