Showdown in Asansol: Moloy Ghatak Leads the Race
Moloy Ghatak, a prominent TMC minister in West Bengal, is leading in the Asansol Uttar constituency with over 16,000 votes ahead of BJP's Krishnendu Mukherjee. As per the Election Commission, Ghatak has secured 59,916 votes against Mukherjee's 43,391, while CPI's Akhilesh Kumar Singh trails behind with 2,198 votes.

The political battleground in Asansol Uttar constituency witnessed a heated contest as West Bengal's prominent TMC leader, Moloy Ghatak, pulled ahead in the electoral race.
According to the Election Commission, Ghatak secured a significant lead with 59,916 votes, overshadowing his BJP rival, Krishnendu Mukherjee, who garnered 43,391 votes.
With half the rounds of counting completed, CPI's candidate Akhilesh Kumar Singh remains a distant third, collecting only 2,198 votes so far.
