Swami Avimukteshwaranand Challenges Modi's Austerity Appeal

Swami Avimukteshwaranand expressed criticism towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent appeal for austerity, amidst the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He suggested the Indian government could lead by example by utilizing fuel-efficient aircraft instead of maintaining luxury ones valued at Rs 8,000 crore.

Addressing reporters during his 'Govisht Yatra' in Sonbhadra, he called out the rising dollar value against the Indian rupee, stating austerity should begin with those in power. Swami emphasized a sharp decline in cow populations in Uttar Pradesh, contrasting it with increases in other states like Kerala and West Bengal.

The seer accused some political leaders of benefiting from cow slaughter activities and encouraged voters to hold such parties accountable. His initiatives aim to raise awareness for cow protection ahead of upcoming Assembly polls, urging change in government shelters' conditions and critiquing the Uttar Pradesh government as a 'paper tiger.'
