AIADMK Faction Throws Support Behind TVK Government

The AIADMK faction led by senior members S P Velumani and C Ve Shanmugam has decided to back the TVK government under Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. Shanmugam revealed this decision to the press, indicating that they plan to meet CM Vijay to hand over a formal letter of support.
Amidst this political maneuvering, Shanmugam criticized Edappadi K Palaniswami, the party's general secretary, accusing him of intending to align with DMK, a move the faction opposes, recalling that AIADMK was initially formed to counter DMK influence.
The faction emphasized the need for the immediate convening of the party's general council meeting. In the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, AIADMK secured 47 seats, showcasing its significant presence in the political arena.
