Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar has demanded immediate action against individuals orchestrating attacks on the party's offices in the state. On Tuesday, he criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, warning that the BJP would prevent any attempt to create Bengal-like conditions in Punjab led by Mamata Banerjee.
Jakhar claimed a systematic conspiracy led to attacks on Monday at different party offices including those in Ludhiana, Batala, Tarn Taran, and Zirakpur. Miscreants allegedly threw ink at party leaders and vandalized the offices, prompting Jakhar to meet with Mohali's Senior Superintendent of Police for intervention.
Jakhar emphasized the need for a thorough police investigation to identify those behind the orchestrated attacks, demanding that both local and Delhi-based AAP leadership be exposed if found culpable. In Tarn Taran, reports state that unidentified individuals raised slogans and threw ink in the BJP office.
