Udhayanidhi Stalin Critiques TVK's Majority & Allegiances

In a bold address during the floor test of the TVK government, Tamil Nadu's Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin challenged the ruling body's democratic support, citing that a majority of voters did not endorse them at the polls. He questioned the TVK's reliance on AIADMK legislators, previously condemned for alleged corruption.

Stalin underlined the democratic discontent by stating that 65% of the electorate, approximately 3.21 crore people, voted against TVK. He criticized the government for aligning with an AMMK MLA, despite previously labeling them ideological adversaries, reflecting a shift in political allegiances that is now scrutinized by the public.

The Opposition leader stressed the need for the continuity of successful welfare initiatives launched by DMK, like the "Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam." Highlighting past achievements, he pressed the need for immediate action from TVK to uphold promises such as free bus travel for women, indicative of the DMK's previous backing for social welfare.
