Suvendu Adhikari is warmly welcomed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) into their 'ideological family,' much like a daughter-in-law naturally becomes part of a household. RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale spoke about this familial bonding in an exclusive interview with PTI.

Hosabale discussed the recent influx of leaders, including Adhikari, Samrat Choudhary, and Himanta Biswa Sarma, who have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from other political backgrounds, assuming major roles such as chief ministers. He indicated that the RSS views this not only as an influx but as an acceptance of its ideology and growth of the BJP.

In a discussion about the RSS's presence in West Bengal, Hosabale noted that swayamsevaks played an influential role, especially amid political turbulence faced by Hindus in the region historically. He emphasized the non-formal, voluntary nature of RSS membership, driven by community service and societal unity.
