Massive Aerial Onslaught: Russia Targets Kyiv and Beyond
Russian forces launched a significant aerial assault on Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions, resulting in one death and numerous injuries. This attack, involving missiles and drones, followed a brief U.S.-brokered ceasefire. Ukrainian officials condemned the aggression, stressing international pressure on Russia to cease hostilities.
In a significant escalation of conflict, Russian forces unleashed a massive aerial assault on Kyiv and surrounding regions, causing at least one fatality and numerous injuries, according to officials on Thursday. This assault, a combination of missile and drone attacks, marked the first since the conclusion of a short-lived U.S.-brokered truce.
The overnight strike targeted civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, killing one and wounding several, as Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko confirmed. The State Emergency Service shared images of rescuers searching for survivors in the debris of a collapsed apartment complex.
Despite diplomatic efforts by the United States, including President Donald Trump's visit to China, Ukrainian officials assert that continued pressure on Moscow is essential to halting aggression. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported additional strikes on strategic ports and railway infrastructure in the Odesa region.
