On May 11, Rautela climbed a water tank with supporters to press these demands, defying repeated police appeals. The demonstration led to significant security concerns, prompting police deployment day and night.
Amid escalating tensions, Rautela allegedly poured petrol on herself, intensifying the standoff. The protest affected local traffic until May 13, when officials sent a proposal to the government, urging Rautela to descend. Legal actions ensued under multiple sections of local law for this dramatic protest.
