This meeting takes place amid ongoing challenges such as energy supply disruptions and trade policy issues stemming from the West Asia crisis. The conclave not only addresses these economic concerns but also sets the stage for the upcoming annual BRICS summit in September.
The expanded BRICS bloc now features 11 influential emerging economies, accounting for substantial portions of global statistics, thus holding significant sway on international platforms. Chaired by India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, the meeting is crucial for coordinated action within the bloc.
