DMK President M K Stalin has taken full responsibility for the party's defeat in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Speaking at the party's headquarters in Chennai, Stalin announced the formation of a panel tasked with evaluating the reasons behind the electoral setback. The panel is expected to deliver its report within 20 days.

The DMK leader took indirect aim at the AIADMK, which relocated its MLAs to a resort post-election, emphasizing that his party is seasoned enough to handle defeat without resorting to such measures. He reflected on the coalition government's formation led by C Joseph Vijay, acknowledging that DMK secured 59 seats, rising to 73 with allies.

In a call to action, Stalin urged party members to embrace change and prepare for potential simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections. He introduced 'udanpirapinkural.in', a platform for party members to suggest improvements. The intent, he said, is to adapt party strategies and ensure the DMK's legacy endures for the next 100 years.
