In a significant boost for Punjab, Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney hailed the commencement of flights at Halwara Airport as a 'historic moment' for the state. This event fulfills a nearly three-decade-long aspiration of Ludhiana for direct air connectivity, marking a transformative day for the region.

Accompanied by Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu and MP Rajinder Gupta, Sahney emphasized the importance of the inaugural flight. He shared this milestone on social media, attributing the success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's central government, predicting enhanced trade and industry growth in Ludhiana as a result.

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu also expressed his optimism, referring to the flight from Delhi as the start of a new era for Punjab. The infrastructure at Halwara, equipped with a longer runway for larger aircraft, is expected to position Ludhiana as a pivotal hub in the state's economic landscape.
