US President Donald Trump concluded his three-day visit to Beijing on Friday, after engaging in several discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Key topics included the Iran war and trade issues; however, disagreements over Taiwan persisted.

In a meeting at Zhongnanhai, the two presidents conversed privately. Later, Xi highlighted the potential for conflict if the Taiwan issue isn't managed carefully, according to reports from Chinese state media. A White House statement indicated that Trump invited Xi and his wife to the White House for further talks in September.

Despite differing views, both leaders expressed intent to maintain stable economic ties and enhance cooperation on international issues, marking the visit as a 'historic and landmark' effort to promote mutual understanding and trust between the US and China.
