In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming Goa assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, announced a series of promises including free electricity and an extensive medical insurance scheme similar to initiatives in Punjab.
Speaking at a party event in Velim, Kejriwal criticized the existing Deen Dayal Swasth Seva Yojna, highlighting its inadequacies and exclusion criteria, which reportedly leave many diseases uncovered.
Additionally, Kejriwal proposed a monthly financial subsidy for women over 18, while advocating against the implementation of smart electricity meters in Goa without public consent, accusing the BJP of undermining democratic processes.
