In an effort to understand the factors contributing to the unexpected loss in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections held on April 23, DMK President MK Stalin has formed a 36-member committee. This team is tasked with delivering an impartial and thorough report by early July, targeted to address the party's concerns.
Previously aiming to secure a sweeping victory across 169 constituencies, DMK managed to win only 59 seats. Acknowledging the setback, Stalin issued a statement stressing the importance of transparency and honesty within the party ranks. "Your sole duty is to convey to me, exactly as they are, the facts provided by party members without any personal bias or prejudice," he said, urging the committee to collect unfiltered input from party associates.
Stalin emphasized that the aim of the inquiry is to identify and rectify internal issues, ensuring that reforms closely align with the gathered insights. "Only by rectifying our issues and bringing about necessary changes within ourselves can we ensure our continued vitality and relevance for the next 100 years," he stated, reinforcing the commitment to adapt and evolve based on the report's insights.
