Karnataka Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K Venkatesh has been allocated the Planning and Statistics departments, in addition to his existing portfolios.
The Planning and Statistics portfolios had remained with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah following the death of Minister D Sudhakar earlier this month.
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot issued a notification to this effect on Sunday on the advice of the Chief Minister.
Sudhakar had died on May 10 at a private hospital in Bengaluru, where he was undergoing treatment for a lung infection.
