AIADMK Chief Edappadi K Palaniswami launched a scathing attack on the TVK government, describing their recent crop loan waiver initiative as a 'scientific deception' designed to distract people from alleged horse-trading politics.
Palaniswami, reacting to Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's announcement, criticized the waiver's shift from complete debt relief for landowners below five acres to a monetary cap of Rs 50,000. He contrasted this with his tenure's policy, which waived Rs 12,110 crore in loans.
The AIADMK leader urged the government to fulfill its initial promise and relax the financial burden on all Tamil Nadu farmers, stressing that past malconduct against farmers has never been politically sustainable.
