BJP Unveils New Leadership Across Key Indian States Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced new district and state leaders across several Indian states ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. Key appointments include Dilip Dev Patel in Ambedkar Nagar, Kewal Singh Dhillon in Punjab, and Harsh Malhotra in Delhi, all strategically chosen by national president Nitin Nabin.

In a pivotal move preceding the 2027 Uttar Pradesh polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) revealed new district presidents for five districts in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Dilip Dev Patel will now lead Ambedkar Nagar in the Awadh region. Meanwhile, Ram Sakal Patel and Kashi Nath Singh have assumed positions to oversee Varanasi and Chandauli, respectively.
Additionally, Ramesh Prasad Gupta has been appointed to manage Gorakhpur Metropolis, while Kali Prasad takes charge of Deoria. This restructuring extends beyond Uttar Pradesh as new state unit presidents have also been appointed in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Tripura by the BJP, with appointments made under the guidance of national president Nitin Nabin.
Notably, Kewal Singh Dhillon, a former Congress leader aligned with ex-Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, is now overseeing the Punjab unit since joining the BJP in 2022. Harsh Malhotra, an influential BJP figure and Union Minister of State, has taken over the party's Delhi state unit. Meanwhile, Archana Gupta and Abhishek Debroy are now at the helm of BJP's Haryana and Tripura units. Gupta expressed her gratitude to her party on social media, committing to serve with integrity and dedication.
