Chief Minister's Tiruchirappalli Visit Planned to Express Gratitude
Tamil Nadu's leader C Joseph Vijay plans a visit to Tiruchirappalli on June 1 to express thanks to voters after winning the Assembly seat. Although he chose to resign from this seat to retain Perambur, Vijay will attend a thank-you gathering at St Joseph's College.

C Joseph Vijay, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is preparing to visit Tiruchirappalli on June 1 as a token of gratitude towards voters in the Tiruchirappalli East Assembly constituency, where he secured an impressive win. Despite resigning this seat to retain Perambur, his victory there was marked by a decisive 27,416-vote lead over DMK's S Inigo Irudayaraj.
He had also achieved significant success in Perambur, defeating DMK candidate R D Shekar by 53,715 votes. Vijay is scheduled to fly from Chennai and join a thanksgiving event at St Joseph's College. Party insiders indicate he may also take the opportunity to oversee government department operations during his visit.
