The Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP voiced their concerns on Monday regarding the significant number of unoccupied positions in state government departments. They called on Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay to take immediate measures to fill these vacancies.
BJP state chief Nainar Nagenthran stated that the current government's role as an 'alternative force' in the region necessitates the prompt initiation of a recruitment drive to realize the employment aspirations of the state's youth. He highlighted that over 5,000 government employees have been retiring daily, leading to more than 40 percent of government posts remaining vacant.
Nagenthran pointed out the previous government's failure to meet its employment promises and emphasized that addressing the vacancies would benefit both the youth and the state's governance. He urged the government to act responsibly by quickly filling these positions to ensure the efficient operation of governmental functions.
