Nashik city was hit by an intense bout of unseasonal rain on Monday, a continuation of sporadic bursts of downpour experienced over recent days.

Strong winds accompanied the deluge, causing trees to be uprooted in areas like Cidco and Satpur, while parts of Old Nashik saw streets submerged due to the sudden water accumulation.

In response to the agricultural devastation, the state agriculture minister, Manikrao Kokate, assessed the situation, particularly the severe impacts on onions, mangoes, and vegetables, instructing local officials to evaluate the losses and report on necessary remedial actions.
