Kari Gowda, Yelahanka Zonal Commissioner of the BBMP, stated that the operation specifically targeted structures with illegal additional floors and deviations from the approved architectural plans. Structures in Surabhi Layout, Muneshwar Layout, and Chikkabommasandra had illegally constructed third floors on 2,400 sq ft plots, which were subsequently demolished.
Further demolitions took place in Yelahanka New Town, where an additional floor exceeding approved limits was removed. Similar actions were executed in Srirampura, Jakkur, Balaji Layout, Kodigehalli, and Vidyaranyapura, with properties constructed up to the fourth or fifth floors facing action. Notices had been previously issued, and costs for the enforcement will be charged to the violators.
