Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a directive to district officials across the state, requiring them to submit proposals for road infrastructure development under the Public Works Department (PWD) schemes by June 30.
In a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of adapting development plans to local needs, rather than political divisions, highlighting the need for collaboration with local public representatives to ensure this alignment. The 18 flagship PWD schemes focus on widening roads and building industrial parks, aiming to directly benefit each of the 403 assembly constituencies.
Adityanath also outlined a plan to link religious tourism with economic empowerment by improving access to the state's top religious sites. He mandated quality assurance in road construction, strict contractor vetting, and accountability through regular review meetings to enhance the quality and timeliness of infrastructure development.
