The Andhra Pradesh cabinet has greenlit the 2025 Land Pooling Scheme, marking a critical step toward elevating Amaravati into a global hub. The scheme, announced by Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathy, envisions Amaravati as a financial and educational powerhouse.
Addressing the media, Parthasarathy emphasized that the uniform land pooling rules are poised to make Amaravati competitive with other top cities. An existing land bank of 54,000 acres is set to expand by 40,000 acres to include Guntur, Vijayawada, Mangalagiri, and Tadepalli into a regional megapolis.
In tandem with land reforms, the cabinet sanctioned major office construction projects by contractors NCC, L&T, and Shapoorji Pallonji, as well as a notable land lease for a legal educational institute, laying the groundwork for a vibrant urban future.
