Tragic House Collapse Claims Life Amid Torrential Rains

A woman tragically lost her life, and her husband sustained injuries after their house collapsed under the weight of heavy rains in a village near Paschim Shareera, authorities reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place earlier in the day when the mud house owned by Indralal disintegrated due to excessive moisture, trapping him and his wife, Sumiya Devi, 52, in the debris, according to Circle Officer Abhishek Singh.
Emergency responders, aided by local residents, promptly arrived and managed to extricate the couple from the rubble. Sumiya Devi was declared deceased at the site, while Indralal was rushed to the district hospital for further treatment. An investigation is underway as Sumiya Devi's body is sent for a post-mortem examination.
