In a pioneering effort to foster scientific curiosity, Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will interact with students and scientists from the International Space Station (ISS). This interaction, set to take place via ham radio, is facilitated by the Amateur Radio on International Space Station (ARISS) programme on Friday evening.
A member of the Axiom-4 mission, Shukla is on a 14-day scientific expedition. He focuses on a range of research projects, including experiments with space microalgae, which holds promise for sustaining long-duration space missions, and advanced cognitive studies using VR technologies to monitor astronauts' brain functions in microgravity.
His work also includes the Telemetric Health AI study, aiming to revolutionize real-time health monitoring in space. By engaging with Shukla, the programme seeks to inspire students worldwide to venture into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields through real-time communication with space experts.
