In a harrowing incident, a man lost his life in a suspected tiger attack in Maharashtra's Nagpur district, officials reported on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Balakram Dhoble, hailed from Lodha village and had entered Deolapar forest for livestock grazing.
When Dhoble failed to return home, concerned family members reported him missing, prompting a search operation. Tragically, his body was discovered the following day, alongside telltale pug marks that suggested a tiger's involvement.
In response, the forest department has deployed trap cameras and bolstered patrol activities in the area. The victim's family has been offered a compensation package of Rs 10 lakh amidst calls for increased safety measures for locals.
