Strategic Infrastructure Boost: Enhancing Connectivity in Mizoram

In a significant meeting aimed at fortifying infrastructure in Mizoram, Governor Vijay Kumar Singh and GP Singh, the Chief Engineer of Project Pushpak from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), deliberated on crucial projects. These initiatives are poised to amplify border security and improve road connectivity within the northeastern state.

The governor assured full cooperation, promising to streamline coordination with Central and state authorities for swift project approvals and funding. Among the project's highlights was the pivotal Kawnpui-Durtlang-Aizawl road upgrade, underscoring urgent financial backing from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Discussions further included expediting Land Acquisition and Forest Clearance related to International Border road works, and allocating projects under the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project, which are vital for regional development. Attention was also given to assigning aspects of the Aizawl bypass project to enhance traffic flow in the region.
