Heavy Rains Trigger Devastation in Himachal Pradesh
A boulder fell on a pickup truck during heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, injuring two people. The state has been severely impacted, with roads closed and power supply disrupted. Rain-related incidents have resulted in 74 deaths, numerous flash floods, and landslides, causing significant economic losses.

A boulder crashing onto a pickup truck amid torrential rains incapacitated its driver and a passenger in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, authorities reported on Tuesday.
The mishap took place near Kani nullah on Luhri Jajar road as the occupants were en route to purchase milk. Victims, Vikrant and Rajesh, were urgently taken to Khaneri hospital close to Rampur.
The relentless downpour has resulted in the closure of 435 roads, including three major highways, predominately in the disaster-affected Mandi district. Furthermore, power supply and water schemes have also been severely disrupted. The monsoon season has seen 74 fatalities and substantial financial losses amounting to Rs 1,246 crore.
