Madhya Pradesh is gearing up to initiate a significant transformation in rural development, as announced by state minister Prahlad Singh Patel. The government plans to roll out a master plan targeting villages with populations exceeding 2,000 residents, aiming to develop these into model villages.

In the first phase, five villages have been chosen, one from each division within the state. The selected villages include Parwalia in Indore, Chintaman Jawasia in Ujjain, Badarwas in Gwalior, Barman in Jabalpur, and Madiadoh in Sagar. The initiative aims to introduce development to areas that are on the semi-urban threshold.

Patel emphasized the importance of this initiative in ensuring the flow of development to semi-urban areas. By developing these selected villages into models, the state hopes to create a blueprint for widespread rural development across other regions.
