Landslide Tragedy Strikes Devotees in Jammu and Kashmir
A tragic landslide in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district claimed the lives of two men who were stationed near a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The men were working on improving the path to the shrine when heavy rains caused the disaster. An operation recovered their bodies.

A landslide, triggered by relentless heavy rains, tragically claimed the lives of two men in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to local officials. The unfortunate incident occurred during the dark hours near a shrine devoted to Lord Shiva, in the rugged Badora belt of Mahore tehsil.
The men, assigned to enhance the trail leading to the holy site, were caught by the landslide while they were asleep in their tent, officials reported. Their assignment was to ensure a smoother journey for devotees traveling to the revered location.
In response, a swift operation was launched by both civilians and police forces, successfully recovering the bodies from the wreckage. The deceased have been identified as Rashpal Singh, aged 26, from Tuli Kalavan, and Ravi Kumar, aged 23, from Chenani. The bodies will be returned to their families following a postmortem examination.
