Eskisehir province experienced a tragic loss with ten firefighters killed and 14 others injured as they fought the blaze, which soon spread to Afyonkarahisar due to strong winds.
On the island of Cyprus, firefighters grappled with controlling a raging wildfire that enveloped mountain villages near Limassol. Unprecedented levels of destruction have been witnessed, and international support, including air assistance, has been mobilized to aid local efforts in tackling the ongoing crisis.
