In a tragic incident on Tuesday morning, two members of a family lost their lives while two others sustained injuries after a wall collapsed at an under-construction site in Delhi's Civil Lines area, officials reported.
The deceased individuals, identified as Meera (40) and her son Ganpath (17), along with the injured Dashrath (19) and Nanhe (35), were laborers hailing from Madhya Pradesh. A call alerting authorities to the wall collapse was made at 9:53 a.m.
Local residents played a crucial role in the rescue operation, transporting the injured to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital. The incident also resulted in damage to nearby properties. The deceased's bodies have been sent for autopsy examination.
