The Centre has sanctioned a significant assistance package to bolster Delhi's infrastructure, as announced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday. The approved amount, Rs 821.26 crore, is set to benefit 33 projects spanning health, education, and transport, among others.
Earlier in the month, Gupta had a meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, discussing the progress of ongoing projects and future necessities. Her discussions seem to have borne fruit with this announcement.
In a recent social media post, Gupta thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for what she termed a 'visionary step' towards transforming Delhi's developmental landscape. She emphasized the Delhi government's commitment to executing these projects efficiently and transparently.
