Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a sweeping sanitary revolution in Delhi with the 'Delhi Ko Koode Se Azaadi' initiative on Friday. The month-long campaign aims to instill civic responsibility and promote cleanliness across the capital city, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Mission.
This initiative, spearheaded by Gupta herself, began at the Women and Child Development Department office in Kashmere Gate, showcasing hands-on engagement with the chief minister wielding a broom. It seeks to unite citizens and officials, encouraging collective efforts to rejuvenate Delhi's public spaces and workplaces.
With a dedicated fund of Rs 5 crore supporting the drive, government entities, MLAs, and thousands of citizens are urged to actively participate. Incentives are set for community involvement, with awards for exceptional performances in waste management, striving for a clean, green, and sustainable future for Delhi.
