India's top eight cities are on the verge of a significant milestone, with their combined office space expected to surpass 1 billion square feet by the end of this quarter. The office space, currently valued at USD 187 billion, reflects India's growing stature in the global office market.
In the rankings, Bengaluru boasts 229 million sq ft of office space, leading the pack. It is followed by Delhi-NCR with 199 million sq ft, and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with 169 million sq ft. Other major contributors include Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.
The rise of Global Capability Centers is a key factor driving demand in India's office space market. Experts emphasize the importance of sustainable and performance-driven workplaces as the country continues its trajectory as a global office powerhouse.
