In a tragic turn of events in Chhattisgarh, five children drowned in two separate incidents reported in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Bastar districts. The unfortunate incidents occurred on Sunday, leaving the local community in mourning.
In the first incident, three children from Chhachhanpahri village drowned in a pond. Navyansh Kumar, Himanshu Sahu, and Lakshya, aged between six and seven, went missing after they went for a bath. Villagers later found their clothes on the pond bank, leading to the recovery of their bodies.
In a similar tragedy, two children drowned in an abandoned stone quarry in Hajariguda village. The district administration has announced that financial assistance will be provided to the affected families as per government regulations. Authorities urge citizens to avoid water bodies during the rainy season.
