Delhi's residents woke up to a cloudy sky this weekend, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted spells of rain for Sunday. Saturday saw intermittent showers, bringing the minimum temperature down to 25 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees below the typical seasonal average.
The maximum temperature recorded was 34.5 degrees Celsius, which is notably 3.7 degrees cooler than the usual expectation for this time of year. Ayanagar station logged 4.6 mm of average rainfall in the past 24 hours, while relative humidity reached a high 90 percent at 5.30 pm.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) provided some solace by categorizing the city's air quality as 'satisfactory', with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 104 at 6 pm on Saturday. This rating fits within the 51 to 100 range, suggesting that while conditions were not optimal, they were not cause for concern.
