A cloudburst has severed a remote village in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district following heavy overnight rains. The incident occurred in Jod Ghati, Rajbagh, during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
No casualties have been reported yet, though land and property have suffered damage. Emergency response teams, including police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), have been dispatched to the affected area.
Additional landslides have affected Bagard, Changda, and Dilwan-Hutli, with water levels rising dangerously. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have cautioned residents to avoid water bodies for safety.
