Punjab's flood situation has escalated, impacting over 14,200 acres across Kapurthala, Ferozepur, and Fazilka districts. Speaking on Sunday, Punjab Water Resources Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal confirmed the government is setting up relief camps for affected villagers.

Rescue operations are underway with 600 people saved from the Beas river's fury in Kapurthala. People in areas near the overflowing Beas and Sutlej rivers in multiple districts are facing hardships.

Gurdaspur district villagers have been alerted following the significant release of water from Ujh river and Ranjit Sagar Dam. Meanwhile, eight villages in Pathankot's Bamial area bear the brunt of rising Ujh and Jalalia rivers. In light of the situation, three trains were short-terminated in Punjab as water levels crossed the danger mark in the Jammu division's Budhi-Kathua railway section.
