A mysterious flying object crashed and exploded in a cornfield in eastern Poland, early on Wednesday morning, according to the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

By 2 a.m., local police were on scene in the village of Osiny, discovering burned metal and plastic debris. The explosion shattered windows in nearby houses, but fortunately, no injuries were reported, PAP noted.

Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz later suggested the object was likely a drone, sparking an investigation into whether it was military or related to smuggling. This incident adds to rising tensions, as Poland faces continued airspace intrusions amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
