The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for Arunachal Pradesh, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next two days.

The IMD bulletin indicates that isolated heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in West Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, and Changlang districts within the next 24 hours.

August 22 and 23 will see particularly heavy rainfall in Papumpare district, while Kurung Kumey, West Siang, and Anjaw districts will also experience significant rainfall. Residents are warned of possible traffic disruptions, landslides, and flash floods. Farmers are advised to take protective measures for their crops.
