A recent viral video from Nagpur has spotlighted a controversial urban planning issue. The video depicts an under-construction flyover slicing through the balcony of a residential building. This peculiar situation has led to raised eyebrows and concerns about the feasibility of urban planning practices in the region.
An official from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) clarified that the balcony is part of an encroached area. The NHAI has informed the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) of the matter, requesting the removal of the encroachment to allow the project to proceed safely.
The house owner, however, dismissed safety concerns, stating that the flyover beam passes through the balcony without any contact with the building. Authorities are set to investigate the lease status of the property, with appropriate actions anticipated to ensure compliance with local regulations.
