A 26-year-old man tragically drowned in a flooded railway underpass in Hyderabad's Balkampet area, amid heavy rainfall, police reported on Thursday.
The unfortunate incident took place on Wednesday night as the man was on his way home on a scooter. He was swept away by the strong water currents under the bridge, resulting in his drowning. His body was later recovered, and a case has been filed following a complaint from his brother at the S R Nagar Police Station.
The deluge on Wednesday night led to widespread waterlogging across the city of Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Traffic Police took to social media platform 'X' to commend the collective efforts of officers and other departments to clear waterlogged areas and ensure traffic continued to flow smoothly, praising the cooperation of city residents.
