In a significant development in the Amangarh forest range, forest officials have arrested five suspected hunters. The individuals, identified as Aslam, Shamsher, Sharafat, Rustam, and Ashraf, were apprehended near Alipur Gurudwara.
A skeleton of a wild animal was recovered from their possession, leading to an investigation to ascertain whether it belongs to a tiger or a leopard.
Chief Conservator of Forest, PP Singh, confirmed the operation and mentioned that the Wildlife Institute of India is conducting scientific verification to determine the species of the skeleton.
