India’s Ambition: Emulating Singapore’s Urban and Economic Model

At a public lecture in Singapore, former G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant urged Indian states and Union Territories to draw inspiration from Singapore's model of urbanisation and economic liberalisation.

The lecture, hosted by the Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore, saw Kant emphasize the strategic partnership covering economics, technological exchange, and cultural cooperation.

Kant noted that India, with its burgeoning population and economic potential, should strive to become a dynamic and globally competitive nation like Singapore, highlighting ongoing collaborations in finance, green energy, and digital reforms.
