Tragic Picnic: Family's Day Out Turns Fatal in Arabian Sea
A family outing turned tragic when at least three members drowned and four others went missing in the Arabian Sea off Shiroda-Velagar beach, Maharashtra. A 16-year-old girl was rescued, but search efforts continued for the missing as rescue teams mobilized to the scene.

A family picnic took a tragic turn as at least three members drowned in the Arabian Sea near Shiroda-Velagar beach in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district. The incident occurred when eight family members from Belgaum and Kudal ventured into deep waters during their outing on the picturesque beach.
Authorities reported that six members of the family had traveled from Belgaum to join two others from Kudal for the picnic. However, their joyful outing soon transformed into distress as they underestimated the sea's depth, leading to the tragic occurrence.
Rescue teams quickly responded to the distress call and managed to save a 16-year-old girl from the group. While they recovered the bodies of three individuals, a search operation remained in progress for four others who are still missing, as officials continued their efforts till late in the evening.
